Parents urged on provision of textbooks, other learning materials for wards

Parents and guardians have been charged to ensure adequate provision of textbooks and learning materials for their wards.
A staff of National Pilot Newspaper, Alhaji Hussein Gold gave the charge last Thursday during the graduation ceremony of Mueen Nursery and Primary School in Okefoma, Ilorin, the Kwara State capital.
Speaking at the event, Gold, who commended the management and staff of the school for the academic, moral and extracurricular activities impacted on the pupils implored them to continue in that trend for greater achievements.
He said, “I am honoured to be in your midst today and I wish to commend the management and staff of the school for how far the school has come but you must not rest on your oars as there are opportunities for further advancement.
“On the part of the parents, we need to keep supporting our wards and the school by paying the tuition fee on time and also providing our children adequate textbooks and other learning materials.”
On his part, the school proprietor, Mallam Abdulkadir Musa solicited for continuous support of the parents regarding in all activities of the school most especially the prompt payment of school fees.
His wife, Hajjia Maryam Musa expressed her profound gratitude to Allah and all those who graced the event even as she prayed for multiple rewards from Allah.
Highlights of the occasion included; drama, choreography, talk show, cultural dance, presentation of certificate and gifts to the graduating classes. Also, the Overall Best Pupil of the Year was presented with scholarship.
Among the dignitaries were; Alhaji Issa Dilali (The school PTA Chairman), Bar. Abdullateef Oladimeji and members of National Association of Proprietors of Private Schools (NAPPS) in the state.
