UI colluding with JAMB to deny me admission, Candidate alleges

A candidate of the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), identified as Segunoke Temiloluwa Sedami has raised the alarm alleging that both the University of Ibadan (UI), and the Joint Admissions Matriculation Board (JAMB) may be planning to rob her of her admission for the 2018/09 academic year.
She decried alleged unwholesome development between the two bodies that have made it impossible for her to be screened in the ongoing screening exercise by the management of the institution.
In a post on Social Media, Miss. Segunoke said she had paid a sum of N2,500 since May, 28, 2019, into the account of JAMB for a change of institution and the screening exercise which ended last Friday but has yet to be properly screened in order to secure admission.
According to her WAEC result, Segunoke had three As, 3Bs and a credit in the science subjects and a social science subject and she also scored 247 in UTME with U.I as her first choice and Health Science her preferred course.
Her words: “I have since fulfilled the statutory instruction of making a payment of N2,500 into the account of JAMB since May 28, 2019. The payment has been acknowledged by the management of the examination body and I have the evidence. But I am yet to be screened as promised by U.I as they said JAMB was yet to provide my details with them.
“I don’t understand any of this and I suspect that it is either U.I or JAMB that are inefficient here and such inefficiency will rob me of this great opportunity to get admitted. This is why I am raising the alarm and sending SOS to both bodies to allow me do my screening. I have fulfilled the requirement for getting the admission but the issues between U.I and JAMB on the internet about my screening is frustrating me,” she said.
