2019 Hajj: Kwara 1,676 pilgrims arrive as last batch returns tomorrow

No fewer than 1,676 pilgrims from Kwara State who performed this yearโs hajj rites have landed at the Ilorin International Airport, National Pilot, can report.
This comprises the first, second and third batches of the pilgrimage from Kwara State, Ilorin zone of National Hajj Commission (NAHCON).
Recall that a total of 2, 026 pilgrims from the state, including officials, travelled in four batches for the 2019 hajj exercise.
Speaking to the Executive Secretary of Kwara State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board, Alhaji Tunde Jimoh on Wednesday said, “A total of 1,676 pilgrims that performed this year’s Hajj has arrived Ilorin International airport.
Jimoh revealed that this comprises first, second and third batches respectively while the last batch will arrive Ilorin on Friday.
Speaking with one of the returnees, Hajia Farida Ibrahim from Ilorin East local government appreciated Allah for protecting her throughout the hajj exercise, which is one of the five cardinal pillars of Islam.
She stressed that during the hajj exercise they were encouraged to adhere to the five daily rakats and other obligations as faithful Muslims.
Also, Alhaji Abdul Ganiyu Salihu from Moro local government said, “Aside the rites which we performed, I asked Allah to strengthen our faith and pray for peace in the country.
