Dan Borno seeks support for late Alangua Ibagun’s children

The Grand Mukadam of Ilorin, Sheikh Suleiman Danborno has called for support for the children and family of the late Alangua of Ibagun, Alhaji Muhammed Jamiu Alabi describing him as a selfless community leader.
Dan Borno stated this on Wednesday in Ilorin during the Fidau for the departed Alangua at Okelele, Ilorin East Local Government Area of Kwara State.
According to him, the deceased despite his position in the community was humble and worked for the progress and advancement of his society and Kwara State in general.
He called on the people to rally round the family especially during this trying period, adding that the deceased was an epitome of humility and a philanthropist who extended his goodwill to all and sundry around him.
In his remarks, the eldest daughter who spoke on behalf of the family, Miss Hamdalat Alabi, said her father strived to ensure the education and progress of his children, adding that he will be sorely missed.
She said though their father left them at a critical time, they take solace in Almighty Allah for his life and solicited for the support of all and sundry to ensure the completion of their education.
The fidau was lead by the Chief Imam of Ilorin, Sheikh Mohammed Soliu and assisted by Imam Gambari of Ilorin, Alhaji Suleiman AbdulAzeez
The Seriki Salama of Ilorin represented the Emir of Ilorin at the event which also attracted traditional rulers and politicians across the state.
The late Alangua aged 62  died in the early hours of Saturday at his residence after a brief illness and is survived by five children.
