JNI seeks peaceful, religious co-existence in Kwara

Peaceful coexistence and harmonious relationship among the people have been described as the permanent solution to violent conflicts in the country.
The President, Kwara State Jamatul Nasril Islam who is also former Grand-Khadi of the Kwara State Sharia Court of Appeal, Justice AbdulKadir Orire gave the indication at the general meeting and inauguration of committees of the organisation, held at the Ilorin Juma’at Central mosque on Monday.
According to him, the organisation is meant to protect good relationship between Muslims and non Muslims for the growth, development and peaceful coexistence.
The former Grand Kadi charged all members of the organisation on Dawah work in their various places to propagate Islam.
The Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, who is the Vice President of the organisation was inaugurated to chair Traditional Rulers Committee, while the Emir of Shonga, Dr. Haliru Yahaya chaired the Finance Committee, former Secretary to the State Government, Alhaji Muhammed Sha’aba Koro would serve as Chairman, Education Committee, Magaji Nda of Ilorin, Dr. Salihu Woru Mohammed was inaugurated as chairman Publicity Committee while Alhaji Saad Belgore chaired Dawah Committee.
In his speech, Dr Woru-Mohammed, noted that the work of the publicity committee in any organisation is crucial to its success and charged the members of JNI across the state to work in synergy for the overall progress in the state and country at large.
