PADA, KWCSDA provide block of classrooms, toilet facility for school

 

The Pakata Area Development Association (PADA), Ilorin in collaboration with the Kwara State Community and Social Development Agency (KWSCDA) has provided a block of three classrooms and toilet facility for Anifowoshe Community Secondary School, Pakata.
The disclosure was made recently by the Chairman, PADA, Alhaji Isiaka Adebayo Abdulrahman during the 17th annual interactive session of the association.
Speaking at the event, Abdulrahman said, “In recent years, the association solicited financial assistance from patriotic sons and daughters of the community to co-fund classroom and VIP toilet project at Anifowoshe Community Junior Secondary School establish by this association in collaboration with KWSUBEB.
“To God be the glory, a block of three classrooms and two compartments VIP toilet have been completed and officially commissioned by the Ubandawaki of Pakata, Alhaji Mahmood AbdulGafar.  The projects are being utilised for their purposes.
“Also, the second stage of its completion as we await the second tranche of fund from the agency to further the action on its completion.”
Speaking further, he said, the community school will soon commence classes in the senior section, calling on affluent individuals in the area to support the course.
He added that the community recently played host to lecturers and students of Performing Arts Department, University of Ilorin, who sensitised the populace on dangers of drugs abuse and cultism through drama.
“We have also introduced the congress of secondary schools heads in the community for educational development and discipline among students,” he said, while adding that public address system devices have also been procured to facilitate communication.
PADA however prayed for departed members of the community such as Alh. Isiaka Owolabi Iwalewa Malu whose suggestion resulted to the annual interactive session, Alh. Muhammed Nuhu Alagbede, Alhaji Na’ala Asiriabo, Mallam Issa Giwa among others.
The group expressed its appreciation to KWCSDA for its support in facilitating developmental projects in the community even as awards were presented to the best pupils from public school in the community.
