Emir distances self from fraudulent land sale in Emirate 

 

The Emir of Ilorin and Chairman, Kwara State Traditional Council, Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari has dissociated himself from any fraudulent sale of land being perpetrated by some people within the Ilorin Emirate.
The Emir in a statement made available to this medium last night and jointly signed by the Secretary of Ilorin Emirate Council and spokesman of the palace, Alhaji S.A Lawal and the Magaji Nda of Ilorin, Alhaji Soliu Woru Mohammed, dissociated himself from any land transaction within the Emirate on the issue.
The statement reads in parts:
“This is to inform the general public that his Royal Highness, the Emir of Ilorin has not authorised the sale of any land within Ilorin Emirate and has not assigned any titled Chief or anybody in whatever capacity to sell or transfer any land within Ilorin Emirate.
“Consequently, His royal highness hereby completely dissociates himself from any transaction in respect of any land within Ilorin Emirate” the release added.
