Baraje donates toilet facility to Ilorin community

Founder of Baraje Centre for Arabic and Islamic studies, Gerewu in
Ilorin, Alhaji Abubakar Kawu Baraje, has donated a three compartment
toilet facility to Idi-Ose compound of Adabata area.
The facility which contains modern toilet facilities is to assist
residents of the area from defecating in the open or nearby bushes to
prevent health problems in the community.
Baraje, was represented at the commission ring by one of his closest
associates, Alhaji Raheem Olesin.
In his address, he promised to construct more of such structures in
areas where people are in need of it as part of his humanitarian
services to the society.
The donor who is a Chieftain of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP)
expressed concern that most compounds in the Ilorin Emirate lacked
toilet facilities which is not too healthy for such residents as open
defecation could eventually lead to epidemic outbreak.
Baraje therefore appealed to the beneficiaries to make proper use of
the facility.
Responding on behalf of the beneficiaries, Alhaji Isiaka Iyanda
Adefila who facilitated the project, commended Baraje for coming to
their aid to construct the toilet and promised to make proper use of
it.
According to him, the facility would stop the practice whereby people
particularly the young ones in the area defecate in the open or nearby
bushes where they do not only expose themselves to epidemic and other
dangers.
