Joe Aribo returned to the starting line-up for Rangers who held their
hosts Hearts to a 1-1 draw in a Scottish Premier League clash
yesterday.
Aribo, who missed Rangers’ last three games in all competitions due to
a head injury, was on for 90 minutes in the game.
The 23-year-old has featured in seven league games for Steven
Gerrard’s men this season.
In Italy, William Troost-Ekong was in full action as Udinese beat Ola
Aina’s Torino 1-0 at home. Nigerian-born forward Stefano Okaka scored
the winning goal for Udinese in the 41st minute.
Troost-Ekong has featured in six league games for Udinese this term,
while Aina, who was benched for the entire 90 minutes has made five
appearances.
Samuel Chukuweze featured for just nine minutes in Villarreal’s 1-0
away win against Espanyol in their Spanish LaLiga clash.
Chukuweze replaced goal scorer Toko Ekambi in the 81st minute.
The 20-year-old has scored two goals in seven league appearances for
the Yellow Submarines this season.
In France, Samuel Kalu started Bordeaux’s 1-0 home loss to Saint
Etienne. Kalu was replaced by Hwang Ui-jo in the 55nd minute.
He has made nine appearances in the French Ligue 1 for Bordeaux and
hit the back of the net once.
Kalu’s international teammate, Josh Maja took the place of Aiit
Bennasser in the 84th minute for Bordeaux.
In the German Bundesliga, Jamilu Collins was absent due to illness as
SC Paderborn went down to a 3-1 away defeat to Cologne.
The left-back has scored one goal in eight Bundesliga games for Paderborn.
