400 mechanics and auto electricians on modern technology.
The Director of the consulting firm, Mr Olufemi Oguntokun disclosed
this at the the flag off of the first Kwara auto fair held at the
Stadium complex, Ilorin,  on Monday.
According to him, the company organised a basic auto diagnostic
seminar for the mechanics and auto electricians to update their
knowledge on modern automobiles.
He, however, explained that  the auto fair was organised to create a
platform for buyers and sellers of automobiles,  which is expected to
add value to their businesses.
He urged the state government to provide conducive atmosphere to
allow businesses thrive.
Earlier,  the state Deputy Governor, Mr Kayode Alabi had commended
effort put by the firm to boost business activities in the state
He said, “I am always glad to see young Kwarans bringing ideas that
will reform the state instead of looking for white collar jobs, adding
that good initiatives will receive adequate support from the
government.
Alabi advised the organiser of the auto fair to remain focused,
determined and be consistent  in order to attract investors across the
country.
“We realised that there is the need to attract more investors into the
constituency and at the same build on the capacity of the youths.
“For the youths to benefit from the various opportunities of the SMEs
the stakeholders need to come together and pass the necessary
information in that regard,” he said.
