Rodgers hails Ndidi; insists Iheanacho will get his chance

Super Eagles midfielder, Wilfred Ndidi has earned the praise of
Leicester City manager, Brendan Rodgers after he described the
Nigerian as the unsung hero in the squad, AOIFootball.com reports.
The former Liverpool gaffer has led his Leicester team to an
impressive 3rd position on the league standing so far but believes
much of the credit should also go to the Nigerian who has been sublime
in the heart of the midfield.
Speaking ahead of Sunday’s trip to Crystal Palace, Rogers stated that
it’s only a shame that offensive players get more credit than those
who do the dirty work behind.
“He is an incredible player. The offensive players get the credit but
he does the dirty work,” Rodgers said.
The 22-year-old has however shown series of impressive display this
term as he continues to lead the way in the league for the player with
the most tackles and interceptions.
Similarly Rodgers has also praised forward Kelechi Iheanacho who has
come in to deliver when called upon despite his limited playing time
this term.
The Leicester City boss stated that the striker his playing behind one
of the best forward in Europe at the moment but believes he will
always be ready to step into the shoes when called upon.
“He’s playing behind one of the great strikers in Europe. I know that
when I need him, he’ll be ready.”
