NPFL: Plateau Utd, Wikki bag away wins, as Ifeanyi Ubah hold MFM

Plateau United and Wikki Tourists recorded away wins on matchday- two
of the 2019/2020/Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) with Lobi
Stars picking up the only home win of the day.
Former champions Plateau United registered a 1-0 away win against
Jigawa Golden Stars.
Nenrot Silas scored the decisive goal in the 34th following a mixup in
the hosts defence.
At the Agege Stadium Lagos, MFM recovered from a goal down to draw 1-1
against visiting FC IfeanyiUbah in their NPFL matchday-2 clash.
MFM’s Adeniji Kabir cancelled out Christian Nnaji’s sixth minutes
opener for IfeanyiUbah in the 37th minute.
In Lafia, Sixtus Forsah scored the winning goal 10 minutes from time
as Wikki Tourists secured a 1-0 win against Nasarawa United.
Lobi Stars recorded the biggest win of the day thrashing Delta Force
4-0 at the Aper Aku Stadium, Makurdi.
Samuel Tiza, Sikiru Alimi, Abdulkareem Mumini and Douglas Achiv got
the goals for the home team.
Seven-time NPFL champions, Enyimba forced Katsina United to a 1-1 draw
at the Muhammadu Dikko Stadium.
Tasiu Lawal put the hosts ahead from the spot in the third minute,
while Martins Usule equalised for the visitors a minute before the
break.
In Port Harcourt, Bakry Bamba netted a last minute controversial
penalty to help Rivers United secure a 1-1 home draw against
Heartland.
Christian Pyagbara had put Heartland ahead in the 15th minute.
Both teams are still searching for their first win of the campaign.
Sunshine Stars and Warri Wolves also battled to a 1-1 draw at the
Akure Sports Stadium.
Charles Upele silenced the home fans when he put the ball into the net
on the half hour mark, but Isreal Abia equalised for the home team in
the 36th minute.
