Palace plot January swoop for Edouard

Crystal Palace are preparing to launch a £20 million ($26m) bid for
Celtic striker Odsonne Edouard in January – according to The Sun.
Roy Hodgson wants to bring in the 21-year-old to add much-needed
firepower to the Eagles’ starting line up at Selhurst Park.
Edouard has hit nine goals in 11 Scottish Premier League appearances
for Celtic this season.


Roma will have to pay £18m to land Smalling

Roma will have to cough up £18 million ($23m) to sign Chris Smalling
from Manchester United on a permanent deal – according to Tuttosport.
The Italian giants are eager to bring the England defender onto their
books at the end of his season-long loan deal at Stadio Olimpico.
Smalling has featured in eight Serie A matches for Roma this term, scoring once.


Milan join race to sign Demiral

Juventus defender Merih Demiral has emerged as a transfer target for
AC Milan – according to Gazzetta Dello Sport.
Manchester United and Arsenal have also been linked with the Turkey
international, but the Rossoneri are now ready to launch a January
bid.
Demiral has only appeared in one Serie A match for Juve this season.


Real Madrid set sights on Hudson-Odoi

Real Madrid are interested in signing Chelsea winger Callum
Hudson-Odoi next year – according to El Desmarque.
Zinedine Zidane has identified the 19-year-old as a target and the
Blancos could launch a bid next summer.
Hudson-Odoi has contributed three assists in six Premier League
appearances for Chelsea this season.


Rakitic open to Milan switch

Barcelona midfielder Ivan Rakitic is willing to consider a move to AC
Milan next year – according to Calcio Mercato.
The Croatian midfielder does, however, expect his €7.8 million per
season wage demands to be met, which could prove to be a stumbling
block for the Italian club.
Barca will also demand a fee of €35 million ($39m, £30m) for Rakitic,
who has only appeared in seven La Liga matches this season.


Mourinho monitoring Pochettino’s situation at Spurs

Jose Mourinho is keeping a close eye on Mauricio Pochettino’s position
at Tottenham as he eyes a return to management in the near future –
according to The Sun.
The Portuguese has been out of work since being sacked by Manchester
United last December and would be open to talking to Spurs.
Mourinho is expecting an offer to replace Zinedine Zidane at Real
Madrid, but is more interested in going back to the Premier League.


Arsenal consider £43m bid for Villarreal’s Torres

Arsenal are weighing up a possible £43 million ($55m) January transfer
swoop for Villarreal defender Pau Torres – according to The Sun.
The Gunners hope the 22-year-old can solve their defensive woes, but
Manchester City are also monitoring his progress at El Madrigal.
Torres has appeared in 13 La Liga games for Villarreal this season,
scoring once.


Zlatan sets wage demands ahead of possible Serie A return

Zlatan Ibrahimovic is demanding £215,000 a week to return to Serie A
after leaving the LA Galaxy – according to The Sun.
The 38-year-old’s first choice next destination is Italy, after
bringing the curtain down on a successful period in the MLS.
AC Milan and Bologna are thought to be leading the race for
Ibrahimovich’s signature ahead of the January transfer window.


Bale could sign for Man Utd in January

Real Madrid outcast Gareth Bale could be playing for Manchester United
in January, reports The Sun.
The Wales star has continued to hint at his unhappiness playing under
Zinedine Zidane, while United are reportedly keen to sign a big name
after a poor start to their season and view Bale as an ideal
candidate.
Real, however, are ready to play hard ball and may look to use any
deal for Bale to ensure Paul Pogba heads the opposite way.


Mariners set to sign Brazilian striker

A-League side Central Coast Mariners will likely sign Brazilian
striker Jair this week, coach Alen Stajcic confirmed on Saturday.
The 30-year-old was playing for the Mariners’ rivals Newcastle Jets
last season where he scored just twice across 20 appearances.
Jair has been training with Stajcic’s side in recent weeks with a deal
now set to be signed over the coming days.


PSG eye Lallana

Paris Saint-Germain are interested in signing Adam Lallana on a free
transfer from Liverpool, reports the Mirror.
The England international is out of contract at the end of the season
and so is free to sign a pre-contract agreement with foreign clubs
from January.
Liverpool would use the money saved on Lallana’s wages to put towards
Bournemouth’s Ryan Fraser, who has been linked with a free transfer
switch to Anfield.


Bayern eye Nubel as Neuer replacement

Bayern Munich are considering a move for Schalke goalkeeper Alexander
Nubel as a replacement for Manuel Neuer, according to Sport1.
The 23-year-old is out of contract at the end of the season and has
yet to decide whether to sign a new deal.
However, Neuer is also keen to extend his current deal that expires in
2021, meaning Bayern have a decision to make about their No.1 shirt at
the end of the season.
