Arsenal chairman considers resigning

Sir Chips Keswick is considering handing in his resignation as Arsenal
chairman, the Athleticreports.
With the Gunners in a crisis after struggling to a 2-2 draw with
Southampton, the problems for the Emirates club appear to have slipped
into the boardroom.


Premier League clubs target Kurzawa

PSG left-back Layvin Kurzawa is a target for more than one top six
club in the Premier League, L’Equipe reports.
With his contract up in the summer, he could leave in January for
around £5-6m and is most sought after in the Premier League, where
there have been concrete talks.
Meanwhile, there is also interest from AC Milan.


Ronaldo wants Pogba at Juventus

Cristiano Ronaldo has asked Juventus to sign Manchester United star
Paul Pogba, according to Don Balon.
The Frenchman has been linked with a return to Turin for some time and
now the club’s biggest star has told Juve to make it happen.
United, however, won’t be letting Pogba go for anything less than the
€105 million they paid for him back in 2016.


Man Utd to miss out on Haaland

Norwegian striker Erling Haaland won’t be playing for Manchester
United anytime soon, reports The Mirror.
The transfer blow is the result of Bundesligaside RB Leipzig having
first refusal on the 19-year-old and needing to pay a release clause
of just £25.7 million.
Haaland’s father has previously said a move to Germany would suit his
son with United set to miss out on the young striker for now.


Martinez was keen to coach Tottenham

Belgium boss Roberto Martinez was open to managing Tottenham,
according to The Daily Star.
The 46-year-old is reportedly keen to return to club management and
was willing to part ways with the Red Devils to seal a move to Spurs.
Tottenham however, ultimately opted for Jose Mourinho, who claimed a
3-2 win over West Ham on Saturday.


Man Utd, PSG willing to pay €60m for Zaniolo

Both Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain are ready to pay €60
million (£52m/$66m) for Roma midfielder Nicolo Zaniolo, reports Il
Messaggero.
The 20-year-old recently scored his first international goal for Italy
and has been in fine form for Roma this season.
While Zaniolo is happy at Roma, the club may struggle to turn down the
huge sum United and PSG appear ready to offer.


Aston Villa after Liverpool’s Brewster

Liverpool starlet Rhian Brewster is a loan target for several clubs in
January with Aston Villaleading the race, as reported by the Mirror.
Manager Jurgen Klopp revealed on Friday that he was willing to let the
19-year-old go out for the second half of the season to get more
first-team football.
Villa boss Dean Smith wants Brewster to add another option up front as
the club look to move away from the Premier League’s bottom three.

The Bundesliga side are looking to snatch the 17-year-old away from Spurs

Paris Saint-Germain will offload Kays Ruiz, according to L’Equipe.
The former Barcelona youngster was once seen as one of the most
promising players in Europe, but PSG are willing to see the
17-year-old depart.


Crystal Palace prepare Giroud bid

Crystal Palace are ready to step up their interest in Olivier Giroud,
The Sun claims.
The French striker wants to leave Chelsea after falling down the
pecking order and his contract is up at the end of the season.
Palace are ready to make a move for him, but will have to pay around
£5 million to get him in January, while the likes of Marseille, Lyon
and Inter are also interested in him.


Tottenham consider Ake as Vertonghen replacement

Tottenham are monitoring Nathan Ake’s progress at Bournemouth as they
search for a centre-back to replace Jan Vertonghen.
The Belgian defender’s contract expires at the end of the season and
Spurs have long held an interest in the Bournemouth star.
Football Insider says the London side will keep watching the
24-year-old Netherlandsinternational and could make a move for him
when Vertonghen leaves.


Moutinho signs Wolves extension

Joao Moutinho has signed a new contract with Wolves that ties him to
the club until 2022, it has been confirmed.
The Portuguese star has played a pivotal role since joining the club
in 2018, but was due to become a free agent at the end of the season.
The Premier League side have managed to tie the 33-year-old down to a
longer deal, however.


Mascherano set for Estudiantes switch

Former Argentina captain Javier Mascherano is set to return to the
Primera Division after 14 years away with a move to Estudiantes de la
Plata.
Mascherano, 35, left Barcelona at the end of the 2017-18 season to
take up an offer in the Chinese Super League with Hebei China Fortune.
That same summer saw the player retire from international football
following elimination from the 2018 World Cup at the hands of France,
having amassed a national record 147 caps.


Atletico join race for Matic

Atletico Madrid have joined AC Milan in their bid to lure midfielder
Nemanja Matic from Manchester United, as reported by Sky Sports.
Matic has played only five games this season for Ole Gunnar
Solskjaer’s team, with the United manager preferring Scott McTominay,
Andreas Pereira and Fred in midfield.
The 31-year-old is reportedly keen for a move away in January, and
Atletico will rival AC Milan in the race for the Serb.


Benzema considering Real contract offer

French striker Karim Benzema is considering a two-year contract
extension offer from Real Madrid, as reported by ESPN.
The 31-year-old is enjoying the best form of his career, becoming the
undisputed leader of Madrid’s attack since the departure of Cristiano
Ronaldoin 2018.
Benzema, who turns 32 in December, signed a deal two years ago that
expires in 2021.


Atalanta tracking Paderborn star Mamba

Atalanta sent scouts to observe Paderborn striker Streli Mamba in
action against Borussia Dortmund on Friday, Calciomercato reports.
The 25-year-old only joined the German side in the summer but has
already caught the attention of other teams.
His two goals against Dortmund take his tally up to five goals in 10
games this season and his display will have made an impression on the
scouts watching him.


Zidane wants Odegaard back at Real Madrid

Zinedine Zidane wants Martin Odegaard to return to the club from his
loan at Real Sociedad next summer, Defensa Central claims.
The Norway international joined Sociedad on a two-season loan and has
played an important role for the club.
Zidane sees a future for the 20-year-old at the Santiago Bernabeu and
hopes to bring him back at the end of the season rather than wait
until 2021.
