Nations Cup: Gbenga Cole leads 24 other into camp

 

Morocco based Gbenga Cole and 24 other handball players have resumed
camp ahead of the Africa Senior Men Handball Nations Cup.
The 2020 African Men’s Handball Championship will be the 24th edition
of the championship and it will be held from 15 to 25 January, 2020 in
Tunisia.
It will act as the African qualifying tournament for the 2020 Summer
Olympics in Tokyo and 2021 World Men’s Handball Championship in Egypt.
Nigeria plays against Angola, Gabon and Libya in group B
According to the secretary General of HFN Alhaji Maigidasanma
Mohammed, the listed players have commenced camping since 1st December
ahead of Africa’s biggest handball championship in Lagos.
The squad boasts of 7 foreign based players, 17 prudent energy league
handball players and one Division goalkeeper.
The team will be led by Rafiu Salami with Solomon Yola and Segun Tunji
of Niger United as his assistants.
They will get technical support from Yerima Sylla who is on a
travellers technical duty from the International Handball Federation
(IHF) to assist the HFN.
