College matriculates 200, charges students on discipline, attentiveness

The Provost, Etsu Ibrahim Chata College of Health Science and
Technology, Patigi, Adam Mohammed has urged the incoming students to
abide by the rules and regulations of the institution for a successful
stay in the school.
The provost gave this charge while speaking at the 2nd matriculation
ceremony that involved over 200 students for the 2019/2020 academic
session last Saturday in Patigi.
He warned the students to desist from crime related offences that is
against the school rules and regulations for brighter future of the
country and health profession.
He frowned at exam malpractices, hooliganism, drug abuse, cultism and
other crime-related cases within the premises of the institution.
According to him, after matriculation, activities and programme for
the new students would no longer be the same.
He appreciated the efforts and fatherly role of the Etsu Patigi,
Alhaji Ibrahim Bologi Umar on the college and maximum support given to
the school in an atmosphere of cordial relations.
In his speech, the Registrar, Engr. Manman Ishaya explained that some
of the challenges facing the students include lack of proper
orientation regarding accreditation of courses among others.
He assured the students on necessary steps being considered to ensure
the issues are reduced to the barest minimum, noting that as an elite
school, all its courses are accredited.
He said, “We are managing success because we have a good and cordial
business relationship with the community; we get along with each other
perfectly as you can also confirm, we have presence of some community
members here as well as the Local Government Youth chairman and the
representatives of the emir”.
He advised the teaching and non-teaching staff to work together and
speak in unison to lead the college to greater height for the benefit
of all.
In his address, the Director Board of Governance, Dr. Khalill Kugu
explained that for extending another branch of the college to Patigi,
Kwara State has made another big success in the history of the school.
He assured the students of conducive learning environment in terms of
provision of social amenities to meet the required standard and
calling on them to abide strictly by the laws of the institution for
their benefits.
