Funfare as Idofian Grammar School celebrate milestone

It was indeed a celebration of academic excellence last Saturday as Idofian Grammar School Old students marked the Golden Jubilee of their Alma mata.
The three days event started with clean and green sanitation across the length and breath of the host community, a medical outreach and the grand finale at the college premises was attended by crème de la crème across the globe.
Speaking at the event, the president, Idofian Grammar School old Students Association, Tajudeen Oladoja describe the celebration as a unique occasion of the Golden Jubilee that marks the 50 glorious years of the school.
“IGSI is one such institution that has grown from strength to strength in the past 50 years since its inception. The school’s greatest accomplishment is that it helps students ride the road of not only much deserved success, but also aid them exercising profound wisdom in their actions, maintaining clarity of thought, and feeling a deep seated urge to change the world.
“To the glory of God, this school has produced various professionals including but not limited to legal practitioners engineers, medical doctors, architects, quantity surveyors, pharmacists among others who are all performing excellently in Nigeria at the federal and state civil services, military and para-military, private institutions and reputable business concerns all over the world.”
Oladoja used the medium to acknowledge the past and present teachers of the college for bringing the school to an international repute.
Earlier, the Oludofian of Idofian, Oba Subair Agboola Adeyeye, the Oyesoro II thank God for sustaining the school since its inception fifty years ago adding that “I feel elated today to see the college clock 50. It’s God doing”.
The monarch used the medium to pray for the old and the present students for making the community proud.
In the his view, the principal of the school who is also an alumnus of the institution, Rasaq Oyewole lauded the Kwara State Government for establishing the college 50 years ago.
“As I dug into the achieves, it is pertinent to know that the Kwara State Government through its administrative ministry gave approval to Idofian Community to establish Idofian Grammar School on 29th October, 1969.”
Oyewole however acknowledged the School Management committee of the school for their unrelenting efforts to make and maintain the tone of this great school.
Dignitaries at the event includes, the representative of the Governor of Kwara State, Mallam Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq, Chairperson KAM-Wire holdings, Hajia Bola Yusuf, Deputy Chairman, House Committee on Electoral Matters, House of Representatives, Hon. Tijani Kayode Ismail.
