The Kwara Chapter of the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN), has urged the State Government to host and reward players and officials who won the 37th Ramat Cup to motivate them for higher performance.

Olayinka Owolewa, the Secretary of the Association, stated this in a statement in Ilorin on Sunday.

He commended the doggedness and resilience of the players and technical officials for emerging champions in the famous tournament.

Kwara defeated Bauchi 1-0 at the finals on Friday to win the 37th edition of the Ramat Cup.

He also joined other Stakeholders in rejoicing with the state’s YSFON U-15 team for winning the 37th edition of Ramat International Football Competition in Kano.

Owolewa noted that the victory has further confirmed the state as one with full adherence to football developmental programmes from the grassroots.

He saluted the technical department of the team to bring its wealth of experience to bear and for justifying the confidence reposed in them.
