Palliatives: Magaji Nda appeals for unity among Moro indigenes

The Magaji Nda of Ilorin, Alhaji Saliu Woru Mohammed has appealed to the people of Moro Local Government Area in Ilorin Emirate of Kwaran State to embrace unity for peaceful co-existence.
The traditional Chief made the appeal in a statement which he signed and made available to National Pilot, yesterday.
According to him the call became necessary as a result of attempt by some people to deprive the vulnerable of the pallatives package to alleviate their suffering during the lockdown to curtail spread of coronavirus.
“The people of Moro Local Government are advised to continue to live together in peace and harmony, despite the political religious and tribal differences. “This appeal became imperative due to the recent unguided utterance of some disgruntle elements in the area over their threat to reject the palliative (food stuff) sent to the good people of Moro (Orphans, widows and less-privileged) by the Ilorin Emirate Descendant Progressive Union (IEDPU).
He explained that the stimulus package was organised to alleviate the pain of the people over the lockdown and to enhance peace and unity among the various communities in Moro, devoid of tribal or regligious consideration.
“Hence, combatant groups in Moro are advised to sheathe their swords and embrace peace and harmony and to always engage in dialogue in settling presumed grievances so as to allow Governor m Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq to take us to the next level of development,” he added.
