Rashidi Yekini’s mother cries out for help from Kwara Govt

Alhaja Sidikat Yekini, the aged mother of late Super Eagles striker, Rashidi Yekini has appealed to the Kwara Governor Abdulrahaman Abdulrazaq to come to her aid, revealing that life has been difficult for her.
The mother of the former African football king, who revealed this when he was presented with food and cash by Ahmed Jimoh Ayinla Foundation lamented the only benefit she got from government is showing her picture and that of her two late sons on television and social media.
Speaking in an emotional laden voice in Ijagbo on Wednesday, the mother of five called on the state government to take care of her needs.
The leader of the foundation, Alhaji Ahmed Ayinla described the late footballer as a good ambassador who loved his country during his playing career, while calling calling on sports lovers and well meaning Nigerians to remember his family, especially the aged mother he left behind.
Rashidi Yekini remains the Nigeria’s most prolific scorer at full international level with 37 goals in 58 games.
