The old students association of Idofian Grammar School has given back to their alma mata by renovating the college’s library.

The national Secretary of the alumni association, Alh. Gesinde Adedeji disclosed this during a chat with our reporter in his office, on Friday.

According to him, ‘the need for the renovation of the library is long overdue considering the dilapidated nature of the age long structure.

“The administrative block was built in 1973 by Idofian community three years after the pioneer students resumed for academic programme under the tutelage of the pioneer Principal, the late Dr. Alexandra Omotosho Obateru.

“In view of this, the alumni association made laudable strides with the renovations of the library named after the pioneer Principal and the renovation and remodeling of both Biology and Chemistry laboratories named after HRM, Oba Suberu Agboola Adeyeye II, Oludofian of Idofian between 2018 and 2019 respectively,” Gesinde said.

He added that the renovated administrative block and equipment cost the alumni association the sum of N5m and the commissioning of the project is slated for Saturday, July 25, 2020 at the school premises.
