N7m in car boot missing

A former leader of the Miyettti Allah in Kwara and the Sarkin Fulani, Alhaji Usma Adamu who was kidnapped on Thursday has been released, National Pilot can report.
His release was secured on Sunday after his abductors dumped him somewhere around Niger State.
The victim was reportedly kidnapped close to the Kwara State Polytechnic Gate, Ilorin when he was on his back from the popular Kara market in Share, Ifelodun Local Government Area on Thursday.
His abductors had reportedly accosted him and intercepted his vehicle, ordering the son who was with me to get out of the car. Although, they did not go away with his phone, over N7million that was said to in the boot of the car was missing after they left.
It was not clear last night whether the family paid any ransom for his release in addition to the mission money.
A member of the Miyettti Allah in the state, Alhaji Hassan Yusuf who confirmed the kidnap and his subsequent release told National Pilot that “Our leader called from three locations on Thursday all from Niger State.
“But I have spoken with him and they will be arriving the state today, (Monday). We suspected a case of advance fee fraud and we will get to the root of the matter. When he was kidnapped, the over N7million in his car boot has been declared missing”, he submitted.
