Monarch, stakeholders laud FEDPOLEL Rector, Fashakin

The incumbent Rector of the Federal Polytechnic, Ile-Oluji, Ondo State, Prof. Emmanuel Fasakin has been lauded for his exemplary leadership qualities and prudent management of resources of the five-year old Polytechnic.
According to a statement made available to newsmen by the Head, Information, Protocol and Passages, Sanmi Enigbokan, the commendation is coming on the heels of the recent tour of facilities within the Institution by the Jegun-in-Council, led by the Jegun of Ile-Oluji Kingdom, His Royal Majesty, Oba (Dr.) Olufaderin Adetimehin.
In a commendation letter addressed to the Rector, dated August 26, the Jegun Olu-Ekun and Paramount Ruler of Ile-Oluji Kingdom acknowledged the support of the Polytechnic to the host community and expressed the appreciation of his Council to the Rector for the rapid development of the young Polytechnic, which has made it become a point of reference to other tertiary institutions in the country.
The Royal father commended the Rector for his pioneering efforts in building the Polytechnic from the scratch to its present enviable status and for the considerable progress effected in the on-going infrastructural development of the Institution.
He said he was exceedingly awed, considering the pace at which the execution of buildings was done since the last visitation he made to the Institution.
According to him, “the extent of works done, and more importantly, the quality and standard of works in all cases portrayed very high integrity and the impeccable supervisory roles of the Rector and his Executives”.
The Jegun, therefore, encouraged the Rector and his Management team to sustain the current tempo of the on-going infrastructural development of the Institution and should not be distracted.
Similarly, the Ile-Oluji National Union, Akure Branch, comprising of notable indigenes of the host community, has thrown its weight behind the Rector for his untiring efforts in placing the new Polytechnic on a sound footing among peers in the federation, particularly in the areas of infrastructural development and courses accreditation.
The President, Olu Olowoshile and Secretary, Elder Olu Omotayo, in a jointly signed letter of commendation dated 24th August, 2020, affirmed that Prof. Fasakin’s uncommon determination, vision and zeal have taken the Polytechnic to an irreversible and enviable height, while describing the feat as worthy of total support of its union members.
The Union stressed that the unprecedented development of the Institution under Prof. Fasakin’s watch should not be taken for granted as this has endeared the Rector to the host community and his name written on the ”sands of time as the pioneer Rector of the Polytechnic.
