The lawmaker representing Omupo/Igbaja State constituency of Ifelodun Local Government area, Hon. Ganiyu Folabi Salahudeen has reacted to the report of his purported move of his recall by some member of his constituency.
Speaking with National Pilot, the lawmaker said those behind the issue were paid agents of embattled Bashiru Omolaja Bolarinwa who were angry because he endorsed the document to remove him as factional caretaker chairman.
According to him, “I’m a lawmaker who always has recourse back home, giving feedback to my constituents because I understand my assignment that must be done diligently.
“Those people have biased mind and today has really exposed those behind the call, firstly by their public presentation today. That Shilo Awobimpe has ceased to be the chairman of party in my ward and that will be revealed soonest.
“They falsely alleged that I don’t give feedback whereas I have been organizing constituency meetings and I have a constituency office in Omupo which they are aware of. I’m giving them a 100% loyal representation but since they already have a biased mind, no matter the quality of my representation they will never acknowledge it, they will see it differently. Those are the enemies of the government, blackmailing the government.
“Those that are really fighting with the government are based in my constituency, they alleged me of denying them the opportunity to register, I’m a lawmaker, I’m elected to represent my people, how will I be in custody of the registration materials? The party has a committee which is on ground; they’re the ones doing the registration”, he noted.
Hon Salaudeen described Awobimpe as ungrateful individual who should not ne taking serious because of his political antecedent.
“Awobimpe, the same person leading the campaign, if I start mentioning the dividends he has enjoyed from me, people will be surprised. I contributed to the house that he’s building in Iguana and very often give him money. It is not the likes of him that will say I’m not representing them well. I have statement of accounts ,let him deny it that I haven’t been giving him money, and when he was the chairman, I contribute to any party programme they hold”.
The lawmaker further noted that he has not regret signing the removal of Bolarinwa or supporting the Governor because it was the party’s decisions.
He said contrary to the accusation, he facilitated the Igbaja water works, constructed a block of four classrooms, in Igbaja among numerous motorized boreholes among other numerous projects adding that he has the support of the key stakeholders in his constituency.
