Saraki lauds media, says not easy to speak truth to power

The immediate past President of the Senate, Dr Abubakar Bukola Saraki, has lauded the media for remaining professional and objective even when they’re pressured.
The former Senate President said it’s not an easy thing to speak truth to power, especially when such is not in favour of the government of the day.
He spoke briefly when he hosted media personalities and various other groups to an Iftar dinner at his palatial residence, GRA, Ilorin, Kwara state capital.
The former Kwara state Governor, has been in Kwara for about a week, having decided to spend the last ten days of the Ramadan fasting in Ilorin.
In the spirit of Ramadan, he has since been playing host to several groups, including religious and community leaders, political groups as well as professional associations in Kwara.
