The Provost of Kwara State College of Nursing and Midwifery, Ilorin, Alhaji Imam Abubakar Ayinla has urged the entire Muslim Ummah and Nigerians generally to imbibe the lessons of dedication and obedience to higher authority as demonstrated in Prophet Ibrahim’s preparedness to sacrifice his son in obedience to the instruction of Allah.
He stressed the need for Nigerians to continue to make sacrifices that are necessary for nation building that will make the country safe and secured.
He added: “Through total submission to His will, we can confidently confront our challenges as individuals and as a nation, assured that Allah will always intervene decisively in the affairs of our nation.
“As people of faith, therefore, let us continue to seek the face of the Almighty Allah in our various challenges, be it in security or the COVID-19 pandemic, and as President Muhammadu Buhari strive to make Nigeria a comfortable home for all citizens.
“As we celebrate the feast of sacrifice with worship, I enjoin us to be mindful of the risk of the COVID-19 pandemic and adhere strictly to the safety protocols by our public health authorities, while celebrating with moderation and stretching hands of friendship to the less privileged, needy, widows and alike,” he advised.
