Prince Paul Adelabu, a former Special Assistant to the immediate past Governor of Oyo State, late Senator Abiola Ajimobi, is dead.
It was gathered on Friday that Adelabu, who served as Special Assistant to Ajimobi on Disability Affairs, died on Thursday.
Adelabu had also served as Principal to Rehabilitation Center for people with disabilities in Moniya, Ibadan.
He died three days to his 60th birthday.
Our correspondent gathered that Adelabu had planned to celebrate his 60th birthday on Sunday, 1st August.
But, friends, colleagues and family members, who had intended to attend the birthday party were surprised to learn the news of his death.
Most of the friends were surprised when the news was announced to them on Thursday, DAILY POST reports.
Our correspondent learnt Adelabu, a social worker, is one of the prominent members of Nigeria Association of Social Workers (NASoW), Oyo State chapter.
He is one of the advocates championing better welfare for persons with disabilities in the country.
Adelabu is the founder and Pioneer President of Joint National Association of Persons with Disabilities (JONAPWD), the umbrella body of persons with disabilities in the country.
Our correspondent also learnt that until his death, Adelabu was the Board of Trustees (BOT) Chairman of the association.
