...says KWSG has neglected Asa LG

The Assistant State Treasurer of All Progressive Congress, APC, Mohammed Kamal, has said the Kwara State Governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, has reneged on his campaign promises to the people of Kwara State, querying what the governor will put before the electorate to vote for him in the next elections.
The APC stalwart stated this while answering questions from our reporter shortly after the party’s congress held at Eyenkorin on Saturday.
According to him, ‘I kept wondering what the governor will tell the people of Kwara State that would make them to vote for him in the case he seeks reelection in 2023.’
“I just don’t know what AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq will tell Kwara voters that would lured them to vote for him come 2023. Those that fought tooth and nail for his emergence in the last elections were abandoned across board.
“The electorate are not fools. He can’t deceive us again. In 2019 we canvassed to the people that they should vote for him alongside others and our people voted en mass.
“Immediately he assumed office, the first thing he did was to dissolve the executive that brought him to power. He abandoned us at the detriment of his stooges,” the Party Treasurer said.
He added that the Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed, single-handedly midwife the last elections that brought AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq into power but he turned out to make him his enemy.
“Am telling you as a member of state executive committee, a treasurer of the party that Lai Mohammed singlehandedly approached his friends for money that was used to prosecute the last elections in Kwara.
“He told his cronies that we wanted to send Saraki away as he was able to raise the money. Lai Mohammed was able to purchase several motorcycles with the money he raked.
“He bought cars and he gave each member contesting for House of Assembly some amount of money, as well as the House of Representatives members.
“We approached AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq a day to the election for money. They constituted a committee headed by Mashood Mustapha. The governor up till today did not give us any kobo. The only money we used for election was solely sourced by Lai Mohammed.
“That is how he was voted in. But what did we get in return. Today the governor doesn’t want to see the minister. Those of us that are loyal to Lai Mohammed became his enemies.
“He collected a huge sum of money from the national party and refused to deliver it before the party. I don’t know what he will tell the electorate that he has done to merit his reelection in 2023.
“The people of Asa Local Government have been neglected in the scheme of development since this administration assumed office. He has reneged on what he promised us in Asa and I think our people are set to use their PVC wisely in the next elections,” Kamal assured.
