2023: KNAG clamour for Kwara North Governor

Kwara North Advocacy Group (KNAG) has called for the emergence of a Kwara Northerner as the next Governor of Kwara State.

Comrade Jibrin Abubakar Jiyade, The Convener, KNAG, made this call while speaking during a media parley with newsmen in Ilorin.

Jiyade while calling on the people of Kwara North to actively participate in politics, noted that KNAG will be championing the advocacy for the emergence of a Kwara Northerner as Kwara state Governor coming 2023.

He said, “KNAG is birthed from a shared deep impression of progressive like-minded individuals of the need for a pragmatic involvement in the awakening for governance engagement and involvement. This is in a manner that can both accelerate and completely change the perception and experience of the Kwara Northern people for the best, in the present and future scheme of things in the State. KNAG is a breath of fresh air and uncommon approach to advocating for a fair inclusion of the district with a view of compensating for past neglect that has earned the district a fame of being disadvantaged on so many indices including education, economics and health and to reposition it to a competitive one.”

KNAG is therefore founded to appreciate, articulate and galvanize necessary complementary action to advocate for the fair inclusion of Kwara North and its people in the governance system of both Kwara State and at the Federal level.
