150 pupils to partake in 2017 Droplets Basketball Clinic

No fewer than 150 (one hundred and fifty pupils) between the ages of six and nine are to participate in the seventh edition of Droplets Basketball Clinic in Ilorin, the Kwara State.

The Director of Sports, Kwara State Sports Council, Mallam Tunde Kazeem, who disclosed this to Sportswriters in Ilorin said the Clinic, which would hold between 24th – 29th this month at the Kwara State Stadium, Ilorin would attract schools across the state.

Mallam Kazeem, who commended the initiative of Basketball Veteran, Tunji Ayeni for sustaining the Clinic for the last seven years, said the Clinic had assisted the state government in discovering young talents.

The Director noted that the Clinic was in line with the vision of the government to gainfully engage the youths through sporting activities.

Mallam Kazeem appealed to parents and coaches to keep the children busy during the long vacation.

Also speaking, the Initiator, Droplets Basketball Clinic, Mr. Tunji Ayeni, explained that the Clinic is sustained in order to ensure the growth of Basketball game in the state, particularly among teenagers.
