Fix our roads,community leader begs Gov. AbdulRazaq

A community leader in the Pakata area of Ilorin, Mallam Shehu Ahmad Aliyu,has appealed to the Kwara State Government to see to the immediate fixing of intracity roads across Ilorin, particularly within and around Pakata area,to stimulate economic activities of the people and residents of the state capital.

Mallam Aliyu,who is the President of “Pakata Patriots”,Ilorin, made the plea on Sunday (September 19,2021) while speaking during the palliative fixing of the damaged portions of roads around Pakata Roundabout, Ilorin, which was shouldered by his Association.

A statement signed by Mallam Abubakar Imam, the Association’s Chief Scribe, quoted Mallam Aliyu as stating that “my group decided to do something on the network of roads around the popular Pakata Roundabout,Ilorin, when it discovered the perpetual uncomfortable discomfort motorists endured while plying the roads,saying that many vehicles had gotten damaged by the poor conditions of the roads,particularly since the beginning of ongoing raining season”.

While appreciating the previous services Pakata community enjoyed from the administration of Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq particularly in the control of erosion around Pakata LGEA Primary School and the rehabilitation of buildings within the Pakata Health Centre despite the dwindling revenue acquirable to the state,Mallam Aliyu urged the Governor to ensure that damaged portions of roads across the indigenous segments of Ilorin are fixed to smoothen transportation which is a key ingredient of social and economic developments of any polity.

The community leader, who is also the Dean,School of Early Childhood Education,Kwara State College of Education,Ilorin,assured Governor AbdulRazaq of the support, loyalty and prayers of members of the community to his administration.
