Sadiq Umar has shot to the top of the goal scorers’ chart in the Spanish Segunda Division after he netted his fifth goal in UD Almeria 3-1 home win over Tenerife.
The striker has now scored five goals in seven league games to become the leading scorer in La Liga 2.
The win has also catapulted Almeria to the top of the table with 15 points from seven matches.
At the weekend, Sadiq scored in the 75th minute to give his side a 2-0 lead versus Tenerife.
Last season, he scored 20 goals, but Almeria failed to win promotion back to the Spanish top league.
He has previously played for Spezia, Bologna, Torino, Perugia (all in Italy), Partizan Belgrade (Serbia), Glasgow Rangers (Scotland) and NEC Breda (Holland).
