Group honours Ilorin West LG aspirant for selfless service, youth recognition

A group, Coalition of Kwara APC Young Stakeholders on Saturday in Ilorin honoured one of the aspirants of Ilorin West in the forthcoming Local Government election in the state, Comrade Jimoh Idris for his efforts towards sustaining the political struggle as 2023 approaches.
He was honoured with the title of “The Survival of O to ge Revolution in Kwara, an award tht was dedicated to grassroots politicians and non politicians alike who voted in the last general election in the state.
Kwara State coordinator of the group, Alhaji Rashid Awobimpe who presented the award to Idris popularly known as Blinkers described him as a youthful and vibrant politician who has contributed immensely to the party in the state.
He described Idris as an advanced politician who has the capacity and ability to serve beyond the local level adding that he single handedly initiated a revolutionist group named Kwara Designated Survivor Youth Development Association with online and offline activities played a prominent role in the present political dispensation in the state.
Responding, the recipient, Idris said the award represents a symbol of dedication, determination and commitment to see the birth of a new Kwara where opportunities abound for everybody.
According to him, 2023 will be the year of relegation for self centred politicians in Kwara who only fight for their pockets instead of the overall benefit of the people.
In his remark, one of the party’s stakeholders, Sheriff Babaita expressed joy over the development adding that the award was well deserved because of Idris exploit in the recent political narrative in the state and urged him to continue as an ambassador of peace for the state.
He said the campaign for a radical change in terms of infrastructure, security, road and transformation of various sectors of the state have started to manifest with a progressives experience as attested to by recent developments in many parts of the state particularly Kwara North.
He implore the youths to do all they can to achieve the goal of the present administration in it quest to develop the state and grow the economy.
He urged them to be steadfast, prepared and shun politicians who try to buy their conscience with money adding that the task to building the state is a continuous process that will make Kwara to be very competitive and compare favourably with states like Lagos.
On his part, comrade Sulyman Toyin described the recipient as a hero of canvassers, super mobiliser and campaign master whose recognition is a testimony of his struggle to see a better Kwara and implored other youths to emulate him and his style of enlightenment and harmonisation of the youth for the development of the state.
