Sues for peace among party members in Kwara

The National political leader of People’s Democratic Party, PDP, Dr Abubakar Bukola Saraki, has reiterated the party’s resolute towards taking back the control of the country at the next general polls come 2023.

Saraki noted this at his residence at Maitama area of Abuja, the Nation’s capital, while hosting the delegates and observers from his home State Kwara,to a breakfast.

“Today is a day that the PDP is ready to take power come 2023.” he said.

Alluding to the ruling party, APC, he said, “The whole country can see that the party can’t even organized it internal affairs, having multiple parallel Congresses across the country, but PDP is demonstrating the united leadership the country need at the moment.

“And by God’s grace, we will push them (APC) out of power come 2023, because we’re United as party”. Saraki maintained.

Also in a show of solidarity, the former leader of the country’s legislature, hosted the delegates and stakeholders of the party, from all the North central states of the country at his residence, yesterday.

“At our meeting, those of us at the North central agreed that this is our time ,more so, we’re the only region that can unite the country because that is what the country needs at this delicate time in the country’s history”, he added.

Saraki also in his remark, sued for peace among the PDP members nationwide, particularly the Kwara state, urging the members to stay united in order to achieve the party’s.

“It doesn’t matter if you’re given an appointment, it is imperative on you to support the person appointed, this is all for the good of the party and more so, you don’t know when it will be your turn.

“I want all the differences among the party members to be resolved amicably because to me, every member of this party is as important to me as the next person”,he noted.

The former National Chairman of PDP, Alhaji Kawu Baraje in exclusive chat with the National Pilot, described  the gesture of hosting the Kwara delegates to a breakfast by Senator Saraki as a show of solidarity between the state structure of the party and its leader.

According to him, the breakfast is a tradition for the former Senate President to host the people from his home State,in Abuja,a tradition that has endured till date.

“This is normal tradition,but the only difference is that, he is hosting the people at his private residence, in order to interact with the people and also advice them, but like I said it has been his tradition”.

While describing the unity in the party ,he said, “like our leader said, the PDP both national and the state architecture is United, people thought we won’t hold our convention but it is definitely holding today.

“Truly we might have our differences but PDP has an internal mechanism to always resolve differences which has been very effective over the years”, the national chairman of the party noted.

echoing the word of senator Saraki, Baraje also call for unity among the members of the party, he said, “The keyword is unity, if we’re able to solve our differences and put our house in order then the party is ready for 2023 and success will be ours”, he stated.

Also speaking to National Pilot, Abdulraheem Agboola, the only PDP member of the Kwara State House of Assembly, he noted that the party is United and happy with the party leadership in Kwara state through the leadership of Senator Saraki.

“You can see that we’re happy in Kwara PDP, looking at the atmosphere now, our ambition is to rescue the country we’re hoping to produce the next president of the country.

“We’re going to rescue Nigeria from Banditry and terrorism and that I believe is the hope of the people of Nigeria” he said.

Saraki also made the announcement that the Kwara born lawyer, Kamaldeen Ajibade SAN has been chosen as the new National legal adviser of the PDP, with Saraki urging the new legal adviser to work assiduously for the party and make Kwara state proud at the National office.

The New appointee, Kamaldeen ,expressed his elation to National Pilot , describing the new appointment has a clarion call to serve the party,he said”I feel elated, this is an opportunity to serve our great party at the National level”.

“My appointment will usher in experience and the reorganization of the legal framework of the party by putting it in the right perspective” he said.

While speaking on the significant role senator Saraki played in actualisation of his emergence, The Senior Advocate of Nigeria ,said “Senator Saraki is a great leader of the party who is playing a great role within the party and ensuring the unity of the party.

“The post of National legal adviser was zoned to the North central of the country, and through discussion with other stakeholders from the zone, Senator Bukola Saraki was asked to choose a candidate for the position and that was how I came into the picture”.he said.
