The immediate past Senate President, Dr Abubakar Bukola Saraki and his wife ,Toyin on Saturday paid a condolence visit to the wife of departed former Head of Nigerian interim government,Chief Ernest Shonekan.
Saraki told the widow, Margaret Shonekan at the family residence in Lagos that the late Nigerian leader lived an extraordinary life adding that Nigeria will greatly miss him.
“As we mourn Chief Shonekan’s passing, we also celebrate his extraordinary life and pray that Almighty God continues to give the entire family strength at this difficult time.” Saraki wrote.
Shonekan who died on last Tuesday on the 11th,served as the interim Head of State of Nigeria from 26 August 1993 to 17 November 1993 and help to stabilize the country at the time of turmoil.
