Three-year-old abducted girl released in Ilorin

A three-year-old girl, Mutmaina Azeez, who was abducted last Wednesday in Ilorin, the Kwara State capital, has been set free by her kidnappers.
She was released on Tuesday by her yet-to-be-identified kidnappers, her father, Ahmed Azeez, told DAILY POST some minutes ago.
He spoke to our correspondent from the state police command headquarters in Ilorin, where he had gone to receive his daughter.
He said after the completion of the handing over, he will head to the clinic for a medical check-up of the child
Recall that the child was kidnapped in her parent’s residence at Aiyetoro Community, Zango-Kulende quarters in Ilorin last Wednesday.
The mother of the abducted girl had gone to collect a school bag for repair from a cobbler when the incident occurred.
The unidentified lady, who sneaked into the house to abduct the girl, had tricked her with the impression that her mother asked her to follow her to a fake birthday party within the area.
During the painstaking search for the girl, the father said there was no demand for ransom from anybody.
Reacting to the development, the spokesman of the state police command, Mr Okasanmi Ajayi, informed DAILY POST on Tuesday that, “the little girl was found by a good Samaritan around Oja-Oba area in Ilorin and brought to ‘C’ Divisional Police station, Oja-Oba, where the command had pasted the picture of the girl since she was being looked for.
“The girl was handed over to the parent by the Commissioner of Police, Tuesday Assayomo, for medical treatment,” the spokesman added.
