Former Senate President ,Dr Abubakar Bukola Saraki on Thursday paid a condolence visit to family of late PRO of Kwara PDP, Mr Tunde Ashaolu in Abuja.
Saraki and his entourage were received by the widow, Mrs Bisi Tunde Ashaolu at the family residence at Gwarinpa area of the Federal capital territory.
The former Kwara State Governor hailed the late party spokesman for his tireless efforts, describing him as one of the most capable leaders in the party political structure.
He said this in a post he made on his social media platforms, saying “I reminded Bisi (Tunde’s widow) of how Tunde was one of the most capable leaders in our political structure and thanked her for his service to our party, our state, and the nation.”
Saraki reiterated that Ashaolu will be dearly missed.
Meanwhile, the bereaved family have announced the funeral activities for the deceased.
According to the family, Service of Songs/Night of Tribute will come up on Wednesday, 9th March at Daughters of Abraham Foundation, Opp. Setraco HQ, Along Mabushi Express Way, Abuja at 5pm.
The same will also be holding in Ilorin at Mount Olive’s Anglican Chapel, NNPC Pipeline Road ,also coming up at 5pm.
The Funeral Service will hold on Friday 11th March at Saint Paul Anglican Church, Odo-Owa, Oke Ero local government area of Kwara state at 10am.
Tunde Ashaolu will finally be lowered into the earth on the same day, at Chief (Sir) S.J Ashaolu compound along Erimope Road, Odo-Owa, in the presence of friends and family that will grace the occasion.
