Yusuf Zulu-Gambari withdraws from reps race

A former Special Assistant on Loan Management to Kwara State ex Governor, Abdulfatah Ahmed and aspirant vying for a seat at the House of representatives, Hon. Yusuf Zulu-Gambari has officially announced his withdrawal from the race to the Green chamber.

Zulu-Gambari who made the announcement through a statement, claimed the decision to shelve his aspiration was in the interest of his party, Peoples Democratic Party ,PDP and a demonstration of his commitment to the party.

“I make this statement with direction from my sincere faith in the will of Almighty Allah, my utmost desire for the best interest of our great People’s Democratic Party and my commitment to our party’s unity and nation’s development.” he said.

The Ilorin Prince vying to clinch the ticket to represent Ilorin East/South Federal constituency at the House of representatives under the umbrella of PDP ,stressed the decision of the party overrides his ,hence he submits to the will of the party.

He said, “the party has reached a decision overriding my intention. I submit to the decision of the party and stand by the party’s best interest with firm support.”

Zulu-Gambari while reiterating his loyalty and commitment to the party, said that the PDP needs to uphold its unity and indivisibility and support all its flag bearers.

More than any other time, now, our party needs to uphold its unity and indivisibility. I stand by these tenets and pray for our dear party and the respective flag bearers. As ever, I remain committed to the party’s interest, the development of Kwara State and Nigeria.” he said.

He however thanked his teaming supporters for joining his campaign trail due to their belief in his aspiration, saying, My sincere appreciation goes to my loving supporters, encouraging friends who did not only believe in me but joined my train with absolute conviction.”

The former aspirant had previously served as the Liaison Officer to Ilorin South and Offa local governments during the administration of former Governor Abubakar Bukola Saraki and latter served as Special Assistant under Governor Ahmed.
