Kwara School of Nursing celebrates Emir of Ilorin on 82nd birthday

The Provost of Kwara State College of Nursing &Midwifery, Ilorin, Alhaji Imam Abubakar Ayinla has hailed the Emir of Ilorin, His Royal Highness Alhaji (Dr) Ibrahim Sulu Gambari, CFR: on occasion of his 82nd birthday.

He described the monarch as a Pillar of Peace and a custodian of Ilorin heritage and culture.

Ayinla said, “He is a pillar of peace, custodian of Ilorin heritage & culture and a national asset, who has over the years maintained peace co-existence a must in Ilorin Emirate Council, the state and the national at large.

“The natural ruler a renowned jurist, learned and discipline has demonstrated these traits in superintending over the affairs of the Emirate this reflects the cherished peaceful-co-existence enjoyed over the years by the people in Ilorin metropolis and the state in general”, he said.

The provost noted that the Emir’s reign has been so eventful and peaceful which has heralded sporadic socio-economic development and stable political life in the Emirate Council with the active support of the Baloguns, Baba Isale of Ilorin, Mogajis, Alanguas, Ulamas and Islamic scholars

The college administrator added that, “as the chairman, Kwara State Traditional Council, Dr. Ibrahim Sulu Gambari maintained a striking balance in presiding over the affairs of the council; indeed, the lifestyle of the Emir is fascinating, progressive in all sectors of life and multi-beneficial to the society”.

Alhaji Imam Abubakar Ayinla however prayed that Almighty Allah to preserve the life of the monarch in sound good health, and progress, “in order for the emirate, the state and the nation at large to continue to sip from his fountain of knowledge, experience, exposure and cultural/heritage sagacity.” he said.
