Former Sports Minister emerges PDP Kwara Central senatorial candidate

…pledges to support efforts to end incessant ASUU strike

Former Minister of Sports and Youth Development, Mallam Bolaji Abdullahi has won the ticket of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to contest for the Kwara Central senatorial elections in 2023.


Abdullahi, who is also a former National Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), was ratified by delegate affirmation having emerged a consensus candidate during the buildup to the primaries.
A former Commissioner for education under the administration of former Governor Bukola Saraki, the PDP Kwara Central senatorial candidate has pledged to work with likeminds to promulgate policies towards finding solutions to the incessant ASUU strike.


The PDP candidate, who was a governorship aspirant in the 2019 elections, would go into the contest as a formidable candidate having earned massive youth support and the backing of community stakeholders across the four local government areas that make up the Kwara Central senatorial district.
