The facility includes a multipurpose indoor sports hall, swimming pool, athletics track, and a rehabilitated football field.
Speaking at the event, Buhari commended the navy for the institution’s investment in sports development. He also described the commissioning of the facility as a landmark event.
The president enjoined the navy to harness the facility in uniting troops and grooming talents in the country.
“Sport is a tool that strengthens ties among the troops in the military. I urge you to make good use of the facilities for the discovery of talents for the country,” he said.
