The Kwara state House of Assembly, has called for a thorough investigation into the detained Chief Medical Director of Kaiama General Hospital, Dr Adio Adeyemi, over alleged murder of two women.
The House in a resolution on Thursday, on a matter of general public importance at the plenary, urged the police and other security agencies in charge of the matter to thoroughly probe the matter with a view to bringing all those involved to justice to serve as deterrent to others.
The House urged members of the Kaiama community and residents not to be discouraged by the recent incident, but continue to patronise and support the new Chief Medical Director and management of the hospital.
The legislative arm advised the people of the community to be security conscious and avoid taking the laws into their hands over the incident, but have confidence that the perpetrators would be brought to book by the government to face justice.
The House commended Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq for promptly deploying a new CMD in order not to create a vacuum nor disrupt medical services in the facility.
