Primary Health Care: Kwara Listed As 3rd Worst Performing State As Abia Emerges Best In Nigeria

Kwara State has been listed as the 3rd worst performing State in the recent Primary healthcare index across the Country.
This is according to the data recently made public by popular statistics firm, StatiSense, Kwara was rated the 3rd worst performing State with 39% ,standing just above Akwa Ibom which scored 38% and the least rated Ogun State which scored just 26%.
Other two States that came up with underwhelming performances are Kogi and Imo scoring 42% and 47% respectively.
Abia State was rated as the best State in the Country scoring a perfect score of 100% , while duo of Niger and Plateau scored 99%.
The trio of Zamfara, Kaduna and Kebbi performed greatly as they scored 98%, Yobe and Ondo also scored 96%.
Making up the top 10 performers, Bauchi and Delta both scored 95%.
However, according to StatiSense in their post on their official social media handle, the data was sourced from the Primary Health Care Under One Roof (PHCUOR) for year 2022.
The Primary Health Care Under One Roof (PHCUOR) policy is an initiative of the Federal Government focuses on integrating the management of Nigeria’s Primary Health Care.
This policy initiative was launched in partnership with development partners to overcome the fragmentation of the Primary Health Care system in Nigeria and was approved by the National Council of Health in 2011 and has since been implemented in at least 30 states.
