The Kwara State University (KWASU) Malete has announced that it has disabled the portal of a male student allegedly involved in an inappropriate skit featuring improper contact with female students.

The Acting Director of University Relations, Dr. Saeedat Aliyu, issued a statement on Wednesday explaining that this action is a preliminary disciplinary measure while the Student Disciplinary Committee conducts its investigation.

She declared that the skits do not reflect the values of KWASU or the ethical standards upheld by the institution.

“KWASU is committed to producing well-rounded graduates, excelling in both character and academics, and maintains zero tolerance for any form of indiscipline.”

Aliyu revealed that the decision to disable the student’s portal was directed by the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Jimoh Shaykh-Luqman, as an immediate response pending the investigation’s outcome.

“We wish to reiterate that KWASU holds in high esteem the values of decency that all religions promote and will not condone any act that can jeopardise this value,” she reiterated.
