Unilorin Accident: Saraki Sympathizes with Victims, Calls for Improved Road Regulations

The President of the 8th Senate, Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki has expressed deep sadness over the recent fatal accident at the University of Ilorin, which resulted in one death and left several others injured.
In a statement released by his Press Officer on Local Matters, Abdulganiyu Abdulqadir, Saraki extended his condolences to the victims and called for enhanced traffic regulations on campus.
“It saddens my heart to hear about the fatal accident at the University of Ilorin, on Thursday,” Saraki said. He continued, “I sympathize with the family of the student who died in the accident and pray God to grant them fortitude to bear the loss. I also wish the injured speedy recovery.”
Saraki emphasized the need for the university administration to revisit and strengthen existing traffic regulations to ensure safer driving conditions within the institution. “It is my hope that the institution will again look into traffic regulations within the campus, enforce it further, and explore other means to make transportation safer,” he stated.
