Lafiagi Old Students Transform School Staff Room, Sponsor Students’ NECO Fees

The Lafiagi Secondary School Old Students Association, under the leadership of its National President, Barrister Issa Manzuma (SAN), has donated essential staff room furnitures and undertaken the renovation of the school’s staff room as part of efforts to give back to their alma mater.
The donation included 23 tables and 23 chairs for the staff room, purchased at a cost of N920,000 and N460,000 respectively. The staff room was also fully renovated and rugged, creating a more conducive working environment for the school’s teachers.

Speaking with National Pilot, Barrister Manzuma emphasized that the gesture was aimed at improving teaching conditions. “The items were donated to provide conducive office environment for the teachers and to enhance service delivery,” he said.
In addition to the infrastructure support, Barrister Manzuma also announced the association’s plan to sponsor the NECO and tuition fees for 12 students. Each student will receive financial support worth over N40,000, covering examination and school fees.
“We have also arranged to pay Neco and school fees for 12 students at the rate of over 40,000 naira,” he stated further.
The Emir of Lafiagi expressed deep appreciation for the generous intervention, commending the old students’ association for their commitment to the development of education in the community.
Also speaking, the Principal of Lafiagi Secondary School, Mallam Shaaba, lauded the association’s efforts, stating, “The Association has provided not only a befitting staff room for the school but improved our working environment.”
