King Sunny Ade Missing? Daughter Raises Alarm Over Juju Music Maestro’s Whereabouts

One of the daughters of Juju music icon, King Sunny Ade (KSA), has raised serious concerns over her father’s whereabouts and well-being, alleging that he has been isolated from his family and is under distress.
Damilola Esther Adeniyi-Adegeye, a biological child of the renowned musician, claimed that King Sunny Ade has been unreachable for some time, with his movements and communications allegedly controlled by his manager and half-brother, Dayo, alongside other close associates.
“King Sunny Ade! Has been kidnapped, the Manager (Dayo) is the culprist along with his mother, brothers (Demola) (Kenny) and his Driver Ade,” she wrote in a post made on her Instagram page.
In a series of posts on her Instagram page (@adeniyidamilola), Damilola alleged that her father has been manipulated into signing performance contracts which he could not fulfill, leading to reputational damage. She further expressed worry about the management of King Sunny Ade’s finances, stating that family members have been excluded from his affairs.
“I was angry at my Dad before thinking, he was the one that was not communicating, but now I see that it’s bigger than I thought and Dad is working under duress now. We need our father back. ASAP!!!,” She wrote in another post made on her Instagram page.
According to Damilola, her concerns heightened after a distressing phone call with KSA, during which he
reportedly sounded troubled before the call was abruptly ended. Since then, she claimed, no direct contact has been possible.
In addition to her public appeals, Damilola has tagged the Nigerian Police in her posts, seeking urgent intervention and investigation into her father’s situation. She has also published the names and photographs of those she alleges are responsible for King Sunny Ade’s isolation.
