Family Announces Final Funeral Rites for Madam Rachael Oyebanji

The family of the late Madam Rachael Iyabo Oyebanji of Eníàfè’s Compound, Iludun Oro, has formally announced her final funeral rites, following her passing on Monday, March 3, 2025, at the age of 79.
According to a statement released by Mr. Sunday J. Adeleke, an in-law to the family, a Wake and Service of Songs in her honour will be held at the Cathedral Church of St. Barnabas, Anglican Communion, Sabo-Oke, Ilorin, on Wednesday, May 14, 2025. The service will commence at 4:00 p.m. and is expected to last for one hour.
Funeral activities will continue on Friday, May 16, 2025, with the departure of the body from Omosebi Mortuary, Ilorin, at 8:00 a.m. The motorcade will proceed to Iludun Oro, where a brief lying-in-state will be held at Eníàfè’s Compound between 9:00 a.m. and 9:30 a.m.
A Burial and Thanksgiving Service will follow at the Cathedral Church of St. James, Anglican Communion, Igbomina West Diocese, Iludun Oro, beginning promptly at 10:00 a.m. Interment will take place immediately after the church service at the cemetery located within the church premises.
The funeral programme will conclude with a reception and entertainment of guests at the Iludun Oro Anglican Girls’ College (IAGC) Hall, Oke-Osin, Iludun Oro.
Late Madam Oyebanji is survived by her children, grandchildren, sisters, cousins, and other relatives. Among her surviving children are Mrs. Abosede Ojo, Mrs. Omolara Kolawole, Mrs. Oluwaseun Owolabi, Mrs. Oyewunmi Daramola, and Mr. Adebayo Oyebanji.
