Unknown gunmen have abducted Chief Oladipo Raphael Kayode, a prominent community leader, from his residence in Agbele, located in the Irepodun Local Government Area of Kwara State, on Sunday.

The abduction, which occurred on Sunday at approximately 9:40 pm, has sent shockwaves through the community, with many residents expressing fear for their safety.

This latest incident is part of a worrying spate of kidnappings that have plagued Kwara State in recent times, leaving many to question the effectiveness of security measures in the region.

The family of the abducted chief confirmed that the incident has been reported to the Anti-kidnapping unit of the Kwara State Police Headquarters in Ilorin. Chief Oladipo Raphael Kayode’s whereabouts remains unknown, and no communication or ransom demands have been received from the abductors.
