A 34-yr-old man, Wasiu Adebowale has been named by police for being a member of a secret confraternity in Ilorin, Kwara State, recently.
He was arrested by operatives of Operation Harmony of the state Police command.
It was learnt that the suspect was nabbed during a stop and search operation conducted by the operatives at the Eiyenkorin.
According to a police source, “The police during their operation at Eiyenkorin stopped a commercial vehicle (Mazda Bus) with reg. No-Lagos EC 651 KSF driven by one Lateef Saka.
“The vehicle and the four passengers were searched and a locally made pistol concealed in a small traveling bag was discovered.
“During interrogation, the confessed to be a member of Eiye confraternity. He said he was on his way to Ibadan, Oyo State with intention to carry out attack on members of a rival cult group.”
